Myrna Mccoy

1 millionhr yoga teacher

Myrna’s yoga journey began in 1976 at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in Val Morin, Quebec, where she earned her first teaching certificate—decades before yoga became the mainstream wellness practice it is today. Myrna has taught Hatha Yoga and meditation in Pennsylvania, South Florida, and right here in Georgia. Her continued studies included time at the Yoga College of India in Fort Lauderdale, and she has brought her grounded, accessible approach to a variety of community and wellness settings ever since. Since moving to Winder in 2007, Myrna has become a cornerstone of the local yoga scene. Myrna’s gentle wisdom, steady presence, and embodiment of yogic values lit the path that would one day lead Claire to create Ignite Yoga and Wellness. Now, decades into her teaching, Myrna continues to inspire students of all ages with her calm spirit, deep knowledge, and unwavering commitment to sharing the timeless gifts of yoga.
